yOUR VISIT

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are really excited to offer guided tours to showcase the farm ‘coming back to life’.

There is much work to be done to make sure we are ready to be fully open in Spring 2025 and we want to be able to show you how we are progressing with our work.

Each tour will have a maximum of 20 visitors so that you can fully engage with your tour leaders and demonstrators as you are taken around the site..

TOURS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:

Ticket info

£12.00 adult
£6.00 child (6 – 16 years)
£0.00 child (under 6 years)

The first tour each day will tell the story of the site and will have more detail about the work we are doing to bring the site up to a standard ready for full opening next year and will be suitable for adults and older children (13 years and over). These tours will last approximately 2 hours.

The second tour each day will be more suitable for families with younger children (under 13 years) and will include a selection of fun, hands-on activities.. These tours will last approximately 1.5 hours.

You will be led by our volunteers who have been working hard to bring the site back to life. Each tour will visit all the key areas of the site and will explain what work has been done to maintain the site, and our plans for the future.

There will be demonstrations of crafts and activities along the way to give you a flavour of how we will look once we are fully open next year.

Please note: Because of the level of health and safety work still required to ensure visitors safety we will not be able to offer an animal interaction on the tours, however, animals (Shropshire sheep, Dairy Shorthorn cattle and a selection of rare breed chickens) will be on-site and there will be heavy horse demonstrations on some of the dates above.

Accessibility: Our site is fairly flat and is generally accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs, however, please do be aware that our tour route will include some uneven ground and cobbles. If you have any questions with regard to accessibility please get in touch . Parts of our site are uneven, so please wear sensible footwear. Please also come prepared for whatever the weather may bring!

At the end of each tour refreshments (drinks and cakes) will be available in the New Barn visitor centre. We will be seeking donations on the day to cover the costs of the refreshments.

As our first visitors to the new organisation, we will welcome your feedback about what you have seen and how we can make the farm an even more memorable experience in 2025.

Please note: As we have livestock on site, dogs are not permitted on the farm (other than registered assistance dogs).

If you would like to support us more by allowing us to claim Gift Aid on your purchase, please select the “with donation” ticket types, as this adds a 10% donation which enables us to claim Gift Aid on not just the donation amount but the full admission price and your donation. If you select these “with donation” tickets, you will then be asked to make a Gift Aid declaration on checking out. If you are a taxpayer and can support us in this way it will be greatly appreciated as we are a small start-up charity incurring significant expenses in preparation for the full opening in Spring 2025.
