VOLUNTEERING
We are passionate about volunteering at Acton Scott Heritage Farm. Anyone over the age of 16 can volunteer to take part in keeping the farm maintained and ensuring that our visitors have a wonderful time when they arrive on site.
A Range of Roles
However, volunteering isn’t just about looking after the public when they visit. We have a huge range of roles that we can offer to individuals such as:
- Guiding tours around the site as a historic character
- Playing the part of an agricultural worker
- General maintenance of the site
- Machinery maintenance
- Front of house ticket sales
- Carrying out demonstrations of equipment (full training given)
- Event stewarding
- Costume making
- Social media contributors
- Community fundraising
- Gardening
As a volunteer you can offer your time as it suits you. We will pay for your DBS check (if you are working with the public), and offer health and safety and first aid training (where necessary).
