Acton Scott Heritage Farm is currently closed for the Winter season and will reopen in Easter 2026. We are currently working on a new website to be launched in early March, when tickets for visiting in 2026 will become available, as well as a brand new series of events, themed days and workshops.

The Acton Scott Farm Cafe will remain open during the Winter break from Wednesday to Sunday 10.30am-4.00pm each day. Where you can enjoy a delicious lunch, seasonal treats and hot drinks in our cosy cafe.
Horse Experience Days
Join us at Acton Scott Heritage Farm for an Experience Day with our resident Shire Horses. Learn the basics of driving heavy horses and enjoy a wonderful hands on experience in a small group setting on our historic working farm.
Volunteer with us
Volunteer with us and become a part of a community with a shared enjoyment of the outdoors, history, crafts and farming. We have many roles to offer, from behind the scenes to caring for our animals, as well as interacting with visitors in costume.
Acton Scott Heritage Farm is a Charity located in the Shropshire Hills. We promote heritage farming, traditional skills and rural crafts.
Discover the original Victorian Farm through the seasons, complete with working horses and rare breed animals, learn a new craft or simply enjoy the unspoiled countryside setting.
We rely on the support of our volunteers and local community who help to keep the farm running, our livestock cared for and provide lively demonstrations of life and traditional activities from the past.
Spatula Carving Workshop
This year we’re running a series of Saturday morning green wood workshops. Join us on 4 April 2026 for a Spatula Carving Workshop in our traditional bodging space. Learn how to carve a spatula from locally sourced wood using traditional hand tools.
